This fragment is just a tip, and comes from a much larger tusk. It has been cleaned, polished and sprayed with lacquer. There are minor repairs, barely noticable. hTe tusk has a nice variation of colors, ranging from off-white to black and blue. Length 21. Diameter 1-3/4. Weight 2.2 lbs. Mammoth tusks are great display items, valued by collectors of ice age artifacts. They can also be used as material for carving, knifemaking and other projects.
