These pieces weihg 190 grams and have a nice translucency. These are small to medium sized pieces. Once polished these pieces will either be blood red or deep cognac color. Mexican amber is from the miocene and oligocene epochs and is 22-26 million years old. Mexican amber like dominican amber formed from the hymenaea portera tree. These pieces comes from teh source. The color is red and this could be cut, carved, polished or kept as a museum specimen. Here is your chance to get two nice large pieces of this otherwise hard to gte amber.
